PHUOC HUNG ANCIENT PAGODA
The Phuoc Hung ancient pagoda, popularly known as the Huong Pagoda, is located at No. 461 Hung Vuong Street, right in the heart of Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province. This is a one-of-a-kind architectural work of art related with the beginning of Buddhism 300 years ago in the ancient city of Sa Dec.
Phuoc Hung Pagoda was built in 1838 by a group of Chinese individuals from the Minh Huong association who traveled to Sa Dec to worship Buddha. Later, it was totally rebuilt and improved by the Chinese and Vietnamese people, and it currently has two words “Hương Pagoda”.
