Regarding the results of the 2024 - 2025 school year, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh basically agreed with the contents of the report and the opinions of the delegates; Simuntaneously, he emphasized that the achievements are very fundamental and summarized in 36 words: "Perfected institutions, streamlined apparatus, enhanced quality, professionalized exams, elevated teachers, expanded integration, spacious facilities, developed science, early blooming talents."

Regarding the direction and key tasks for the 2025 - 2026 school year, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to focus on transforming the state, from considering education and training as the sector's private matter to a common task of the entire political system, of the entire people, and of society; shifting from equipping knowledge to developing the comprehensive capacity of learners.
Along with that, the Prime Minister emphasized that all thinking, methodologies, and approaches to solving problems must be innovated more strongly, and actions must be more decisive in the direction of: Every citizen must have equal access to education and training, especially vulnerable people, those in remote and isolated areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, and islands; building advanced, modern curricula and textbooks that are more suitable for reality, learning goes hand in hand with practice, real learning, real testing, real effectiveness, teachers creating motivation and inspiring students, family, society, and school being the foundation, support, and solid backing for teachers and students; absolutely not letting students lack schools, classes, teachers, food, or clothing.
The Prime Minister requested the preparation to be concentrated, synchronous, decisive, and effective implementation of the Politburo's Resolution on breakthrough development in education and training as soon as the Resolution is promulgated.

In the past school year, the school network of Dong Thap province (after merging with Tien Giang) continued to be consolidated and developed rationally, meeting the learning needs of the people.
The entire province has more than 1,100 educational institutions and over 36,700 teachers and management staffs. The province's preschool education has achieved many important achievements, both improving the quality of nurturing - caring - educating children and firmly consolidating universalization for 5-year-old children. In particular, digital transformation and international integration have made strong progress, with 100% of educational institutions connected to the sector's database; many schools have implemented electronic student records and digital learning materials, gradually building a "digital school" model.
