On the Prey Veng side, there was Mr. Pich Sotharoth - Deputy Governor of Prey Veng province, along with leaders of Departments and agencies. On the Dong Thap side, there was Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Dang Van Tien - Deputy Head of Customs Sub-department of Region XX, along with leaders of provincial Departments, agencies, and relevant localities.

Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan stated that in recent times, the two provinces of Dong Thap and Prey Veng have continuously consolidated and developed their friendly, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation in many fields. The two sides have maintained good coordination mechanisms in maintaining security and order in the border area, creating favorable conditions for people from both sides to interact and trade, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, and co-developing border. In the first 09 months of 2025, the total import-export turnover of goods from Dong Thap across the border reached over US$984 million. The security and order situation along the Dong Thap – Prey Veng border has been ensured stable. Functional forces on both sides of the border have coordinated patrols and controlled the border line well, ensuring the safety of the border and border markers.

With a spirit of friendly, frank, and constructive cooperation, Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan believes that at today's conference, delegates from both sides will exchange and share experiences, and propose practical and feasible solutions to overcome current difficulties.

Mr. Pich Sotharoth - Deputy Governor of Prey Veng province thanked Dong Thap province for creating conditions for the two provinces to meet and discuss cooperation contents. At the same time, he stated that the signing of an additional Memorandum of Discussion aims to continue the spirit of good neighborliness, solidarity, trust, and mutual understanding, as well as good cooperation in all fields to create the most favorable and best conditions for the activities of people in the two provinces of Dong Thap - Prey Veng to do business and live.

In the spirit of solidarity, friendship, cooperation, and development, Dong Thap and Prey Veng signed a Memorandum of Discussion on an agreement to facilitate the cross-border transportation of goods. Accordingly, the two sides will allow and facilitate the exit and entry of temporarily imported and re-exported transport vehicles at the border gates of the two provinces to enhance the delivery and receipt of goods in the border gate areas.

Facilitating the exit and entry of transport vehicles into border gate areas must ensure compliance with the laws on border trade activities of each country.
