Right after the launching ceremony of the peak campaign with the theme "30 days towards the Congress of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee" on the morning of September 8, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bao Dinh River Road project was held.

The Bao Dinh River Road Project has a total investment of 1,999 billion VND; passing through the wards of Trung An, Dao Thanh, My Tho, and My Phong.
In order to prevent landslides on both banks of the Bao Dinh River, the project was constructed with the intention of enhancing road and waterway traffic between Tien Giang and Long An (now Dong Thap and Tay Ninh provinces) as well as the urban embellishment of the provincial center. At the same time, it also helps to enhance the provincial center and encourages activities that link the development of tourism between Dong Thap and Tay Ninh provinces.
The project's entire scope includes the construction of three reinforced concrete bridges, a concrete embankment to protect the river bank, and 9,978 meters of roads on both banks of the river.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran Van Dung, asked the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board and construction and supervision units to fully comply with regulations, technical standards, and quality standards in accordance with regulations, and to promptly complete and put the project into effective exploitation and use. This would ensure that the project is implemented with quality assurance and on schedule.
At the same time, the People's Committees of Dao Thanh, My Phong, and My Tho wards continue to mobilize people in the project area to share and support the State's policies and coordinate with the authorities to carry out inventory, compensation, resettlement support, and handover of land for the project to be implemented smoothly.
