Thien Hau Pagoda's full name is That Phu Thien Hau Cung, also known as Thien Hau Temple, located at 143 Tran Hung Dao Street, Ward 1, Sa Dec city. The pagoda is built in a distinctive Chinese style. From the outside, the pagoda appears to have a big and deep yard. The pagoda's two red and yellow colors contrast against the blue sky, adding to its majesty and ancient and dazzling appearance.
A Chinese group from Fujian province built the pagoda in December 1867 as a place of worship and for local community activities. The pagoda worships Thien Hau, whose name is Lam Mac Nuong, a resident of Mi Chau island, Bo Duong (Phuoc Kien), who was anointed as Thien Hau Holy Mother during the Han Dynasty in China, who protected the country and sacrificed people. She was helpful in saving individuals on boats and ships at sea that had been sunk by strong winds and waves.
