Working Group No. 3 of the Politburo works with Dong Thap provincial leaders

Also attending the meeting were Politburo members including: Mr. Le Minh Hung - Head of the Central Organization Commission, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security; General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, along with leaders of central departments, ministries, and agencies.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, presented the draft report on the documents of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress and the personnel plan proposed for appointment to the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. The theme of the Congress is "Maintaining the purity and strength of the Party Committee and the political system; promoting the advantages of the gateway to the Mekong Delta; rapidly developing industry, building an ecological and modern agriculture; improving the quality of life of the people; ensuring solid national defense and security."

The central content of the political report is about the results of implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020 – 2025 term and the achievements of 40 years of innovation; some lessons learned and orientations for the 2025 - 2030 term. Dong Thap sets out strategic breakthroughs in traffic development; industry; agriculture; human resources; promoting science - technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

The Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee continued to listen and absorb the opinions of the Central Committee. Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that Dong Thap needs to promote the advantages of its new space, having both a border and a sea. In particular, focus on developing marine economy, high-tech agriculture, associated with agricultural product processing, export, and developing unique garden, riverine, and ornamental flower tourism in Sa Dec. Dong Thap also needs to shorten the time to complete digital infrastructure; ensure order, security, and border safety.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and members of Working Group No. 3 of the Politburo believe that Dong Thap has made serious and elaborate preparations in accordance with the Politburo's Directive, the Central Committee's guidance, and close to local reality, basically meeting the conditions for organizing the Congress.

Previously, the Dong Thap provincial delegation visited the Vietnam Exhibition Center to tour the exhibition of national achievements, with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness." According to the plan, the exhibition was scheduled to end on September 5, but due to the large number of visitors, it was extended until September 15 to serve the people for visiting and experiencing.
